SRoll 3.0 857GHz maps

 

 

The present data set provides the 857 GHz maps built by the Sroll3 algorithm, improved for the reduction of some instrumental effects (especially Far Side Lobes): see Lopez-Radcenco et al., arXiv:2012.09702.

 

These maps are using the Planck 2013 planet calibration and zero level. These maps are not colour corrected for all sky components. Also, the difference between detectors shows structures such as the residual interstellar dust emission or residual emission lines such as CO. These maps can therefore be used to extract the sky components.

 

The data set is made of 9 maps, named as: SRoll30_SkyMap_857-[D]_[VVV].fits :

Each FITS file contains 3 columns: the first one (I_STOKES) describes the signal in MJy.sr-1, the second one (HITS) describes the hit count as the number of measurements used for the correponding pixel calculation, the third one (II_COV) contains the noise covariance.
